converting

    ive been trying to convert from xvid to dvd using tmpgenc 2.5 but it keeps telling me that the file will be too big. i thought that was the whole idea of using that to convert it down.

    dvd format is going to be bigger than xvid form
    just convert it,then shrink it to fit on a dvd

    what size is the xvid?

    i use vso's for mine btw

    the file is only 699meg. i originally converted with winavi. then trie dburning the dvd files with nero. and the error message came up saying i have to use a udp i think it said as the filesize was too big. allso when i try convert with tmpgenc it analyses for ages wand doesnt convert. whats the simplest way of encoding??

    as hursty says use vso divxtodvd or avi2dvd or film machine... all free apps...
