    gwen, sup. ive tried this with nero before, didnt have any luck. it converts to mpeg4 easily but i couldnt get it to convert from mpeg4 to mpeg2. the only way i could get it to mpeg2 was to use dr.divx to convert to divx(used best quality settings), then use nero to convert to mpeg2. i thought maybe someone had a better way, thats why i didnt post. nve3 wouldnt do it for me.

    @Bestmiller

    Give my little guide a try and you'll be surprised how easy it is to convert/transcode AVI, DivX, MP4, ect. to DVD. And YES... Nero Vision does support MP4, here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946

    Enjoy it!!

    MP4 and MPEG 4 (sorta like DivX) are two totally different format or file. I haven't done any MPEG 4 into DVD yet simply due to the fact that I've never had any movies in MPEG 4, but I'm sure there's a way around Nero (there is a possibility, say maybe Nero Digital?).

    actually the mpeg4 video i had was already burned to a dvd buy a friend. he said he used nero to do it. i put dvd in and opened nve3 and it wouldnt open the file(import disc), i cant remember the error, it was a while back. so actually i dont know for sure it was a mpeg4 file, that what he told me. dr. divx opened it fine,and processed it. then nero did the rest. by the way it looks like ur running nero 7.0. do u like it better than 6.0?

    Yes, I'm running Nero 7 Premium (7.0.1.4B) and loving it. I switched to Nero 7 Premium as of late October 2005 and I've never had any problems/issues whatsoever. So far Nero 7 has never let me down, it's been burning flawlessly. As much as I love Nero 6 Ultra (6.6.0.18) and hate to upgrade, but I must say... Nero 7 has improved alot, from my perspective point of view -- it's encoding/transcoding engine are much faster, yet still produced great quality pictures in results.

    You can try here http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-demo.php
    Out of curiosity, how long did you had Nero 6 Ultra?

    Yep, like gwendolin said, I'm more than happy and satisfied with my Nero 7 at the moment. So far, I haven't seen any bugs or issues yet. I guess I'm a Nero-holic, I primarily used Nero for all of my dvd burnings (even backing up PS2 games). The only programs that I used besides Nero are DVD Decrypter, DVDFAB Decrypter, VobBlanker and PgcEdit.

    Nero ShowTime <> to watch all of my movies (AVI, DivX, Original DVDs and backup DVDs)
    Nero Recode 2 <> to encode/transcode DVD9 to DVD5 (DVD-R and DVD+R)
    Nero Digital combo Nero Recode 2 <> to transcode/import movies into IPOD
    Nero Burning Rom <> to burn DVD movies and PS2 games
    Nero Express <> to burn music CDs, DVD movies and PS2 games
    Nero Vision 4 <> to convert/transcode AVI, DivX, MP4 into DVD

    i tried to update mine from 6 to 7 but would not allow me, and i've had nero for about a year.
    i'm in no hurry for 7... but if alkohol says its good, then his word is as good as gold.

    I tried Nero7, did not like the way it defaulted my video to showtime, inspite of my unchecking the boxes! I hate a prog telling me what to do, so I went back to Nero6. I do not like the interface on showtime, you have to use a Goddammm microscope to see the buttons. I much prefer Windvd4 or 5. Not impressed with Nero7.
