So I got advent children not too long ago in AVI format. I want to burn it onto a DVD+RW, so I got ConvertXToDVD since I heard it was good for making "AVI To DVD" movies. Everything seemed to go okay, I followed the afterdawn guide on the main page. But when I play it on my ps2 it'll constantly freeze up and pause, then continue. It does this every 10 or 15 seconds. Stop, freeze, continue, stop, freeze, continue, etc. It's quite annoying. I'm using the retail version of the software, DVD+RW's(Only media I have and will have available for a bit, not in any position to buy new media). Please help.

well, yes, my ps2 plays dvd+rw's since it was playing the AVI, but as mentioned, every 10-15 seconds the video would freeze, continue, freeze, continue, etc. I heard CovertXToDVD was the best out there, so I gave it a try. I'd really like to try and get this fixed before I go on to other software.

Allright, I tried out a little experiment earlier and I played it on my stand alone DVD player, worked about 80-95% better. Still not perfect, still froze abit, but it was better. Gah, the whole point of this was so that I could watch it on my ps2(which is in my room) and not disturb my other family members. So if anyone has any suggestions, anything at all, I'd really appreciate it. It was suggested at another forum that the Ps2 may not like DVD+RW's, but it was playing, wasn't it? It played, but it had glitches.

    Hi there,

Where's what I have read about the PS2.

    The are reall picky players.

People with success use high quality media (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim) and never burn above x4.0 on those media.

People use 4th class media quality, and burn those at 4x, 6x and 8x !

    My 2 cents...
