Im guessing its possibly the option that i choose to make a PAL type dvd.......or possibly the other way around the other option. Cant remember off the top of my head. But its USA compatible.

But my DVDS play in my dvd player. Would this be my issue?

To Sum it up my dvds i burn with convertxtodvd wont play in my ps2, however do play in my dvd player.

    is your ps2 modded?
if not, the ps2 will only be able to play 25 frames per second dvd's if its pal, and 30 frames per second if its ntsc, its bad news, i know, but its true

ive wondered that, as i just played a movie that i did in my ps2

some dont even read the disc
    some do

how can i tell how many fps discs are on the dvd?

to tell how many fps on the dvd, use vlc media player
Insert the dvd into your pc
    then load vlc media player
click open and go to the dvd drive which the movie is in, click one of the .vob files
then, it should start playing, while its playing, click view>stream and media info, then it tells you how many fps the video is.
Also, convertxtodvd gives you an option for choosing 25fps or 30fps, choose 25fps for pal, and 30 for ntsc

yes, true, or if the ps2 main screen is running at a resolution of 25fps, or 30fps. OR, you can search through the menus in the console, and it will tell you, or you could load an original PAL game, or NTSC game (not backups), and see if they run correctly, good luck!

using Convertx how do you limit ur fps and make sure it burns a nstc video and not pal,
im getting the tv doesnt match system deal when these are inserted into the ps2.

    thanks in advance

i think i figured it out
clicked the video drop down and changed it from pal to nstc

the fps...i thought the encoding speed was the speed that was suppost to be 25-30, thats why i was worried as its always faster than that

but it has 25/30 as the option under video when i changed it.
