    Hi there,

Well this is the most common problem for several people.

Make sure to set your output to DVD5 so it will fit on a DVD-R / DVD+R.

Selected the menu options that you wish.

Auto Start / Sequential Playback / Auto Loop

Use quality media and don't burn at MAX speed.

Those are the basic rules !

    Enjoy...

    Hi there,

Several media these days are 12x / 16x certified.

Burning at MAX speed will burn then at those speeds.

Several people agree that a slower burn will produce better copy, and less change of playback issues liek skipping / freezing etc...

Some will say burn 1/2 the certified speed, so butn 16x media at x, and 8x media at 4x.

I personally burn everything at 4x, and use "Taiyo Yuden" media, probably some of the best media out there.

Verbatim are also top notch quality, Maxell [bold]DVD-R made in Japan[/bold] are pretty good.

Any media with a media id like CMC Mag = elto crapo media :)

You can find the media id in a burn log, or with tools like VSO Inspector, DVDInfoPro, DVD Identifier !

    Hi again,

It's all a matter of personal choice.

Some other users in here might tell you, burn at MAX, you will not have a problem.

Some will tell you, I burn Memorex 16x media at MAX

    Ohhhh my god :)

I read a whole bunch of forums, I tried several things, and like I said earlier, I have decided to buy Taiyo Yuden media, nothing else, and burn at 4x :)

UHH you were right about not setting the burn speed to max just that mine freezes and i put it at 4x and it still froze my max speed is 6x should i just set it at the lowest speed or is there something else that i should be doing to prevent wasting more dvds on frozen movies..?
