I am novice, first time using Coolsat 5000 cardless, it was working fine until June 06 but since then it lost the chanels. I have the COOLSAT5000_NORW_128_20060907.STB file, I am using STB tool, but unable to connect to computer. I have tried two serial cables. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other way I can make it work Pleasssssssssseeee help!!!!! Jar
You need to get "Coolsat loader v 2.4, install it in a computer, preferrebly a Laptop which you can take to the Coolsat. Turn off Coolsat, plug in serial cable, turn Coolsat back on. Plug in serial cable into computer.Has to be a SERIAL cable, not a NULL cable. Run Coolsat loader and find your bin file using the loader. From here on its just follow the directions, not many, in the loader. You'll see a loading screen come up, then it'll tell you the version Bin you justinstalled. Turn off Coolsat wait a few seconds and turn it back on, this will now install the bin file in the Coolsat. All the instructions are to be found, search for it. I'm a NEWBIE and figured this out no problem.
