coolsat 5000

    does anybody put the fixes up for coolsat 5000 on this site and if so where i noticed a new bin come up on other sites but doesent work can any body help me out thanks

    We don't post any files on this site due to legal reasons. We might point you in the right direction to find them and answer general questions about FTA buts thats the limit here as far as I'm concerned.

    As to the 102 card, that is the actual card that DN uses in their receivers. Once you start using Their equipment to receive encrypted signal you are opening your self up to possible legal issues that will hold up in any court. DTV sued many people along these lines several years ago. The choice is yours but I won't go that direction.

    Hey Gerry:
    You seem to know a lot about Coolsat receivers. I'm currently using Coolsat 5000 Platinum. Also, I think u know that the software version 1.23 is no longer working. So, do u have any news on the software??

    No good news at this time. Some Coolsats can make use of the card slot in them if its there, using a rom 102 card. See my post 7/20/06 above, but I don't suggest it as a fix. Its up to you but the cards cost around $200. if you can find one and need fixed. If you don't do it right you blew $200.

    Hey Jerry:

    Did u know that the software version 1.25 is out. I happen to see it on www.dsstester.com. Now, I'm not sure if that version is only for Aux card users or not.

    Yes, I'm pretty sure its the AUX CARD fix. No regular bin fix yet but rumors are flying that everyone is very close (Viewsat and Pansat).
