Anyone who have a coolsat 8000hd please help me out on this one. I got the receiver today and its brand new. First I can't find any factory flash file, that i have to upload to the reciever before writing newer bin so if anyone has that please email it to me at r775@hotmail.com , secondly here is what i did without the factory flash with me. Using the csupgrad v3.01 i uploaded the latest bin which is cs8000_11170F.sgn to the receiver then scanned all the sats. It showed that it scanned all the sats and i can see all the free preview channels but when i go to any sub channels it says "Standby....Download!"...that message just won't disappear no matter how much i wait (up to an hour). Please can some one tell me how to set this thing from start and where can i find the factory file? thanks... ONE MORE THING....Most of the threads on how to to download latest bins to the reciever say that after downloading the latest bin, set the receiver to factory default and scan satellites, wouldnt that reset the latest bin and reset everything back to factory setting?thanks
Factory reset doesn't have anything to do with bin files. It just resets all the setting to factory settings and erases any old channels that may be left before you rescan. As for the PPV channels, BEV just changed their encryption and we are slowly losing the encrypted channels. We will have to wait until a new bin file is created to fix this issue.
well, i am using dn, and not bev, and using my viewsat platium i am getting everything clearly. I just wanted to know where to find the factory flash file for coolsat 8000hd and then install the new bin over it. Also when i go to manual key entry, there is nothing on the screen when you press nagravision, nothing at all so how do i load the key file in the receiver and where can i find that? thanks
Reinstalling the bin file may fix that problem - could be a bad load. I have the 8000 files here, but I am not sure about the latest file. I was told it was in the wrong format - I downloaded as is as a AR 8000 fix. http://www.myfriendsareyourfriends.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=40
Thanks for the help, i guess it was a bad file that i installed. Here is what i did to make it work. Load HD clear to clear the receiver first, then install factory bin, then installed the latest bin. After that scanned all the sats and it started to work. If anyone wanna know more or about specific files email me. thanks everyone..bye
