Copied dvd's look blurry on blu-ray

    They look fine on dvd player, but copied dvd's appear blurred or pixelated. They appear as DVD+R where origianl DVD shows as DVD-Video.

    Is this a format issue?

    Its the blu-ray player up-scaling the movies. I presume that the movies on the dvd's are compressed.

    Yes, I rip with dvd-decrypter, then use dvd-shrink to create 4gb ISO image, then burn image to blank.

    Is there a better way?

    yeah.. I'll get dl media since burner supports it and use dvdfab decrypter
