Hope this is the right forum. There are so many.

Anyhow, I am well practised in getting Divx, VCD etc. into Vob files and creating a Video DVD, however I have now got a standalone dvd player which claims to support divx. I assumed that all I needed to do was copy the avi files to a CD or DVD data disk in the same way as I would MP3, Jpegs and Mpeg files and then pop them into the DVD player. Thus I can get 4 movies onto a DVD instead of 1 and I don't have to go through the conversion process. However I tried this to a dvd and the player doesn't accept it. What's the correct way to do this?

That's pretty much it. Start ISO data comp, drag files over and burn to disc.
