Pardon me if I ask some really dumb stuff. I'm really really really new at this. about a year ago I purchased a couple of items from 321 studios and never used them. one is DVD extreme and the other is games x copy. I was told by them that because of some law, a necessary part of the program is missing but can be downloaded off the Internet. And this sure looks like the site. This is a neat place and I'm sure I will learn a lot here. I think I registered both of them when I got them. I am so extremly busy, I have not had time to learn much yet. After doing some preliminary checking on this site, some say that the 321 stuff is all right and others say it is not. How do I know for sure and what exactly do I need to make these items work the way they were intended??? Are all the guides that are available here downloadable? Also for now I down loaded and installed decrypter and DVD shrink. I tried decrypter once and it worked. But, is there a way to copy dual layer DVDs on single layer DVDs? The price of dual layer dvds to copy to is pretty expensive yet. Wrong forum I know but briefly, what is a torrent? Also can I copy or download programs or what ever to copy and decrypt cds or dvds for Xbox or Gameboy or ?? And which is the most popular?? Thanks for anyone who can supply me with some info. One question at a time plz About the main question (changing Dual layer dvds so they can be squezeed to one layer DVD) use DVD shrink, choose open disc, after a brief analysis varius compressing options will appear (to reduce the size to 4.38gb) remember the less video compression the better quality, choose backup various options will appear choose to backup to a folder on the hd (preferably a NTFS formated hd) and after the files are copied to the hd you can burn them on a DVD-R I hoped it helped, although remember to use the search tool, I think most of the answers to your questions have been already posted
chuckb01, Since you have DVDDecrypter make sure it is the newest version. Then rip the movie to HD and then open Xtreme and copy the whole disk. Remember that you are copying 7+gb back to 4.3 gb . That is alot of compression. 321 is out of business and the 2 programs you mentioned are fair programs but they have to many problems w/ them. This is the forum you should be using as this is the DVDXcopy forum and you are on the regular AfterDawn forum http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/ You can copy and paste the guides here if that is what you want to do. You really need to read some of the guides on the forum as they will tell you how to do just about anything. There also is a A Games section here. Post the games question in the proper place there and you will get answers 10 times quicker as you are in the DVD Section
