I know DVD9 and Dual layer are the same thing (right?). I have DVD X Copy Platinum on my win98se machine, and luckily its activated. But on my new machine running XP I have a dual layer DVD writer. So now I want to copy DVDs with no compression since I have a dual layer writer. This is doable right?? DVDXCP doesn't seem to be able to do this...also is there a way to copy to my HD using DVDXCP?? I don't think so, but maybe someone knows. So what's the best route for me to start using my dual layer drive and copying DVDs without any compression or fusking with the product??

    Thanks
    Mike

Try Decrypter. Read and Burn in ISO. Decrypter is also more update on the copy protections than Xcopy plus it's free. A download for it is still available on this site. Decrypter does not compress just rips to your hard drive.
    Check out this guide:

Ignore the file size - it references putting it onto a DVD5 which only holds 4.38 gig
edited to add - yes dual layer and dvd9 are the same things
