I have been stumped over the inability to copy a dvd from another copy, not an original. I get:
    "Failed to read file E:\"
    Data error (cyclyc redundancy check)

Tried running VObBlanker/Decrypt/ but DVD shrink will not finalize.

Try cleaning the disc you're trying to copy, even a fingerprint can produce this error, so can poor media, damaged discs, incompatibility,
The list is endless; what program are you trying to burn with?

Could be that the copy you are trying to copy was on inferior media and has become unreadable. Your best bet is to use dvd decrypter read iso then write iso. There is no reason to run it through shrink again since it is already less than 4.38 gb.

Lol cheers Mort, I missed that, it's around 6.30 am here in the UK, and I've spent all-night watching the Colts giving the Steelers a lesson.

    I think I'm developing tunnell vision :)

Yeah I watched it too. Those Colts are bad ass this year. I'm a Chiefs fan and things don't look to shiney for them considering their schedule. Take care Gringle and get some beddy by.

This usually means that the disc is bad, scratches and or dirty. Therefore you're getting the error message. Try cleaning, have CD Check, DVD Decrypter (set to ignore read error on settings), and ISO Buster to read the files. If all of them failed to do so, then I'm afraid you're not going to be able to burn another backup.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of media and its MID on the already backup copy by chance?
