I have copied some games from my friends xbox to my laptop's hard drive.

Then, I FTP to my xbox and copied those games under the F drive.

However, when I goto play the games through EVOX menu, the games never load up - I get the Evox screen and then back to the Evox menu.

    What am I doing wrong?

in some cases its due to the file default.xbe not copied correctly...

your other games in f drive works too right?

if you see these files in a game folder
    default.xbe
    defualt.xbe(orginal)

delete the original file and sometimes it will solve the problem...

and also see if the game size in your xbox matches the size in your friends

suki24 - yes, i have other games working fine off my F drive.

However, I tried copying the games again from my friends xbox to my PC.

Then, I ftp'd the games to my xbox.

    Still does not work - I re-copied default.xbe

I will have to check on the matching of the size of the files - but if they don't match, im not sure how to fix that ?

Also, when using FTP - do you always use BINARY mode?

I use flashfxp and put it in auto mode..

your case rarely happens to me...and when it does..I go and load up the game manually thorough boxexplorer....and see if it works from there...

usually after 2 or 3 times more of reinstalling or doing what I told you to do..it would work
