Copying a backup on a DVD-R disc to a DVD+R disc

    I have a backup that's on a DVD-R disc, and I have a DVD+RW drive. I used DVDXCopy and copied the backup onto a DVD+R disc, and it copied successfully, but it will not play in any device. Do I have to do some kind of converting process to allow this type of copying to be successful? If so, what utility can I use? Any help is greatly appreciated!
