    There are no forums for copying pirated downloads because it isn't promoted on AD...however, video files are video files so you should have success with the tools you mentioned :)

    @y2dorean,

    I may not be the right person to guide you through the below tutorial or it may not be perfectly to fit in regards to your question. However, I hope that it will somehow give you an idea of converting AVI files to DVD. So someone please correct me if I'm wrong -- it's obvious that I'm still learning everyday due to the little knowledge of using VSO DivxToDVD that I’ve acquired.

    I highly recommend you to get DivXToDVD - it's one unique AVI converter tool. I've used that program for sometimes now and I must admit that it's doing such a tremendous job so far. You should download the free setup that "gwendolin" provided above. Once you’re done then try the following steps.

    ** make a folder name for your new video files (example: NEWMOVIE) on your C: drive or Hard drive
    ** open up VSO DivXToDVD (program will load)
    ** choose your "source" browse it to your Hard Drive and look for your video files such as AVI, click OK to open
    ** choose your "destination" browse to your "NEWMOVIE" folder that you created earlier in step 1
    ** check for your ratio "ASPECT" and "STANDARD" i.e. PAL, NTSC or AUTOMATIC
    ** now click on "CONVERT" and presto you're done... easy as smoking and sipping on some Hennessey

    NOTE: Once VSO successfully completed the conversion part, you need to do the following steps.

    (a) you either open up DVD Shrink and encode your newly created files to fit onto one blank DVD-R/+R disc (depending on the sizes of your AVI files). NOTE: you may or may not need to encode/compress the files if it's under 4.4gig
    (b) or you can encode all your video files with Nero Recode 2 with the same steps that you did with DVD Shrink when you're encoding a movie.
    (c) now open up either Nero Burning Rom or DVD Decrypter and burn your newly encoded and created video files to your own desire.

    @gwendolin,

    You're welcome.... thanks for the kind words. I could only try to help out as much as I can with the little skills and or knowledge I've acquired. See, this is what I like about AD.com - it's all about helping out one another, and believe me I'm still learning too. Evidently, every night I come in here I learn something new, if not a lot but a little useful to me. Well, see you around.
