copying dvd movie to dvd-r using Nero. Problem!!

Hi, I am new to this and my question will sound probably to basic to a lot of you. My problem is that I can not copy a movie from my computers HD to a dvd-r using nero. The file on the drive has the video_ts and audio_ts there already but every time that I am trying to copy the file in Nero (from the DVDcopy choise) I get error messages like there is not enough space in the media or insert media etc.
Can anybody help?

 

I would suggest the use of a great program called dvd shrink it will compress the file to fit onto a 4.7 gb disk to avoid haveing to buy the more expensive dual layer disk that can be as much as 5$ a disk the app can be found and dl just by clicking on its name in my post
btw you can set it up to auto burn w/ your nero app and it will do it for you automatically give it a go
