Yep, the more you tell us the easier it is to help you. We don't get paid for this, we are just like you, only we have been here a while longer. We just hang out and try and answer your questions and get you up to speed.

I would also like to know if the DVD you are trying to copy is a commercial, store bought type. That will let us know if it has some sort of copy protection on it.

And dont forget to RE-author or (rename) the file so you can find it later down the road .you can use either dvd shrink or dvd decrypter

if you dont re-name it, which is a really good point aabbccdd. You may find that your computer will continually want to over write said folder as it wont allow more than one video_ts/audio_ts per per section

Hi there, its my first time in a forum or whatever(virgin).
Any way I,ve been using DVD Decyrpter for 4 months now. Excellent program, But now it seems to be freezeing up after about 12 seconds and won't Decrypt anymore. I,ve tried removing it from my computer and downloading it again, Done virus scans (nothing there) Everything I can think of.Please help me understand what is going on and how to rectify.
    Thanks.

I can make back up copies of my purchased movies just fine, but am wondering how to put the movie on my hard drive to watch it on my computer. When I decrypt and copy, I get a video TS and Audio TS folder but can't do anything after that. Have a 200 GB hard drive, DVD burner, CD burner, plenty of RAM, just don't know how to put the movies in a playable form on the HD. Thanks

    woolyworm ,
If you decrypt using DVDDecrypter using File mode - All of the disk then the whole movie is on the HD. You just have to right click the folder that DVDDecrypter made and now select what program you want to use to play it.
If you would like to copy an already burned copy then all you need to do is copy the disk to a folder ( in the name of the movie ) to the HD. Then right click it to play it.

Woolyworm, use DVDDecrypter in File F mode to rip disc to hd in a folder you specify. Then when decrypter scares the crap out of you with the little jingle announcing it is done, close program. Open shrink and choose open files. Select file you ripped using decrypter. Shrink will analyze, give you the options of removing unwanted menus, audio, etc. Then click the backup button and you are on your way. Always use good media, Ty, Verbatim, etc. and choose a low burn speed (4X is the most recommended). Good luck and happy burning!
