I have 2 options, either copy "on the fly" from one Rom directly to the burner or record the movie on my HD and then burn, does it matter in any way? Is one better than the other, what's the scoop on this issue please? Thanks.

Burning on the fly is 'riskier' than copying to your hd first. It's usually recommended to copy to your hd 1st. Since burning on the fly is done in 'real' time if there are any system hangups or your source disc has a problem the burn will fail and you'll waste a disc. Copying to your hd 1st reduces this.

I always go to my hdd 1st then burn it. Just as mentioned it's less of a risk.
