Sorry if I use the wrong terminology but I am new to this. I am trying to copy some of my VHS music video tapes into my hard drive to then be able to convert to mp4 to put into my Ipod. I have bought a converter thingy that I link to both my PC and Video Player and I assume that I will copy the images and sound to my hard drive. Presuming this goes well, I am assuming I will have one big file of video content. But I want to be able to cut this into segments; each segment representing one track/music video. Please can you let me know if there is any software available (preferably free) that will allow me to cut the file into smaller parts and also be able to tag them with the name of the track, artist etc etc I look forward to hearing from you soon Cheers
Im guessing by that you mean a capture card. If so follow this guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/musicvideo_guide_part_1_capture.cfm except instead of converting to vcd convert to ipod video format using something like ImToo ipod converter Also check out this guide on how to convert to ipod format. I know youre not converting from dvd but try to piece it togeter. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/297023 Hope all this helps
