can i copy a gamecube game using a usb cable and what kind of cable does it need to be. Also i dont have broadband adapter, action replay, or a modchip. I was hoping that someone made a program for extracting the game doing a direct link to the computer through a usb cable.

im just putting this out there because you can buy a usb calbe for the gamecube its a viper gc cable, i dont know if you would need the chip for the cable to work. But i can buy just the cable and have some program on the pc extract the game some how id be in buisness. Does anyone know if i can just buy the cable, hook it up to my computer and extract the iso image. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The USB cable you asking about connects to the modchip, so there is no way it will work on it's own. Just out of curiosity, where did you think the USB cable would plug into on the gamecube?
