Hi I just dove into the ps2 mod scene, and recently found some info here on afterdawn on how to do it. (Thanks for everyone's help!:) Ive understand most of everything, and downloaded Winhiip and HDL dumb (or dump, whatever its called).

I know that using a crossover cable would be much slower than hooking up my HD to my pc, but id like to keep my HD in my ps2, simply because im concerned about the pins on my HD getting bent/broken swapping back and forth between my ps2 and my pc over and over. This way i can just hookup the cable, transfer, wait, wait wait, and be done.

Im set in doing this, so I ask, can someone please provide a small quick guide on what program i need to use to do this, and anything else i need to know?

    Thanks.

the IDE connector is designed so that unless you are extremely dumb you are not going to break/bend it... and I'm sure you won't do that :) but if you really don't want to do that... HDL dump is the best way to go. have a search for a guide, I've seen them around this forum but don't have a link for it
