I did a search for this but all there was, was PS2 threads. How do I copy a PS1 game? Does anybody have a guide for this?
Basically the same way as DVD's. Create ISO of original and then burn the image to a blank CD. Hell i even get lazy and just do a direct copy always seems to work fine for me.
I've tried copying it like a DVD before but it wouldn't work. Then I used Alcohol and it got to 80% and failed. Is there any guides for this? What kind of softwware should be used? I have DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor, Alcohol, and ANYDVD.
I never got a chance to write it. It failed when I was backing it up to my hard drive. Is there any guides out there that will help me out?
Take the original 2 your local video shop & ask them 2 clean it 4 u. All the better if this is where u sorced the original u tell them it wouldnt work & the'll clean it 4 free. This is more than likley the problem not reading fully if it got 2 80% there is no reason it shouldnt go to 100%. Did you set the properties for Alcohol 120% u can tell it to read it to HD as a PS1 game PS2 game etc. Might help but id be trying the cleaning.
I've never used Alcohol until now. I mainly copy movies, this is the first time I've tried a PS1 game. Is there a guide for Alcohol? If not, how do I set my preferences? thanks for the input
Hi Adouble11 2 read your PSX/PS1 game 2 image. First open Alcohol 120% then go up & click file then click options then data type setting, go 2 the pull down menu that says Disc Type scroll down till Playstation set it(click OK) & go back either 2 copy wizard or image making wizard. The rest is as per movies. This prog will let u burn DVD images 2 CD as well(if file size is under 640Mb of course) good 4 small PS2 DVD games 2 CD. Hope it helps
