I am on your side. This people don't know what they are talking about we all know that we can't fit in a dvd disk into a cdr disk of course but if you know how to rip you can!!! they don't know the real problem, I know we can copy PS2 CDR games iv'ed tried that and all of my copies run best, but a dvd rip to cdr still no luck, other say that they'ved succesfully convert it to cdr.
This is for all those people that does'nt understand ripping. Ripping a DVD game means copying a DVD game to CDR, that is by simply replacing the movie files and audio files of the game with a dummy file, most of the games contain a lot of movies and audio this is why it does'nt fit to CDR's b'coz the DVD Movie Files are to big, they are in DVD format not VCD. Actually almost all of the games ive'd used Movies files is Much Bigger than the Game files, so to conclude it replacing Movie files and Audio files, can save you a lot of Space.

If You wanna know something about ripping this is the websites

Well..the file is not that small..
it is about 1.37 MB highly compressed in ACE format...
But i can tell you something about the files...
    there are two files.
    1)"iph-bcdr.bin"(47 MB size)
    2)"iph-bcdr.cue"(74 Bytes size)

next step is you have to burn the iph-bcdr.bin in the CD-R...You do this by using either Disc Juggler or Nero and load the iph-bcdr.cue..Once
you have the disk burned...you will insert the disk into PS2....and the PS2 will ask for a disk
"UT_2000" and this means the ps2 wants any of your burned games in a DVD (not CD-R)
Still if you dont believe me then i have nothing to do

thats a ps2 boot disc that has been floating around on the p2p's forever, and it does not work. 1.37mb is not big at all, i've seen aced files that big uncompress to 700mb (also a bogus ps2 boot disc). send it to me and i'll see if it works, but i'm almost positive i've tried that one before.

I have a question, does ripping a DVD game onto a CD-r decrease the quality of the game at all? or would it be exactly the same as it was originally with no difference at all?
    thx

Yeah it does, it means you lose alot of the movies/fmvs...
