look it can only be two things now: - bad media - bad Messiah 2 (soldering/installing) The guy in the store told you that this was good media for PS2 backup. He sold it to other people but you are not sure off that.. ! I think it is important to use good quality media. Guys what do you think !?
i hear ya there wiz but its the same media i have all my other ps2 copies on ok they ain't dvd ones and since all my other copied games, except the ones i've copied myself work fine how can it be the chip???? im getting very p....ed of with this thing now lol

I am just trying to help Emma...and all you say is Media Media Media when i ask a little backup here..
Ok Emma, you stated "i have my dvd reader at the top and i put the dvd writer in the one below and linked it as its slave could that make any difference???" This COULD be one problem as the reader and writer should never be on the same IDE cable if you want to do Disc to Disc. Don't worry there is an easy fix, try reading the title to the HD first THAN burn to a DVD-R, or re-do the setup on the IDE cable.
Or it could be the media which can be tested by backing up a movie that is small enough to fit on a DVD-R without ripping and try to play it in the PS2. If it works than you probably just had bad media, a hiccup on your pc with the copier and reader being on the same IDE or a bad burn speed. Dexter

i put that dexter but i've always had my reader in one and my writer on the same ide when i had the cdrw there and i never had a problem with copying on the fly or disc to disc
It's not to say it wouldn't work but the proper way would be to have them on seperate IDE cables. Becuase you would tend to have some problems here and there or constantly depending on the hardware in total.
ok this is what im gunna do im gunna take the 2 games i've tried to backup that won't work in my ps2 to a friends house and try them on his ps2 if they work it has to be my ps2 or the chip that was installed, he has at least one dvd rom back up in his collection so im going to bring that home and try it, if that works gotta be bad media or bad copy.......you all agree??? goddam it i hope so lol i'll let ya know how it goes tomorrow t t f n dexterslab reading your posts you seem to also know what your talking about i've been trying to private message you but i keep getting an error, you mentioned in a post earlier about copying to the hard drive first or making an image i tried this in alcohol but i had 2 problems there 1. i couldn't copy more than 4gig cuz im on fat32 system and 2.it wouldn't let me for some reason chose the playstation 2 option.......let me know what you think and if you have time maybe you could help me somemore thanx
