I use DVD X-Copy Platinum. I have noticed that on my new plasma HD tv using a LG 511 up conversion DVD player, about every second the texture of the picture changes from soft to sharp textured. It's hardly noticable on my 27 in. tube tv with a Philips DVD player. I've used Memorex 8x and Smartbuy 8x from NewEgg . I know they're cheaper media, but I haven't had any coasters with them. Anyone else have this problem ? What should I try differently ? Thanks.

the reason for your variable video quality is due to the difference in TVs. when you blow up those pictures in a High Defination large screen TV it will have pixels more diverse than the smaller tvs and it shows up on the DVD! If you want better quality for your larger TVs then you should use a better program, like Soberfree suggested. DVDRebuilder is an encoder that breaks down the video and rebuilds it from the ground up, not like a transcoder does, and keeps the quality of the DVD! It will take longer to do but it's worth it! As you won't see a difference from the real DVD to the backed up DVD!

Thanks. I downloaded the two programs. Now how do I use them ?? CCE asks for a reference number when I open it. Where do I find that ??

I didn't see where it told me how to set it up. A box comes up first thing wanting a reference number you're suppose to put in and click ok. I don't know what to put in there.

CCE does have a free trial in the program which has a watermark in it, if you want the version without this you have to pay. Better to use the free encoders included in the program which are HC and AutoQmate. Here is a guide, you must also dl avisynth to have this program work.
