Hi. I hope this is the right sub-forum... I want to copy some home movie DVDs I have made. I have 2 DVD burners (one is an external) so does this make the process quicker or easier? Do I need to copy the files from the source DVD to my hardrive before making another copy? The software I usually use to burn the DVDs is Nero 6... Any help appreciated...
It's safer to burn to harddisk first, check, then burn to dvd. Also, if you do this, then one burner would be enough. External burners can sometimes cause problems (e.g. connection, speed).
Thank you. I ask because before I have pressed copy DVD in Nero and nothing happened. Is there another way to copy the files to my hard drive? Thanks...
Try DVD Decrypter, a marvellous program downloadable from this site. If you're copying dvd-5, it's very easy to do with Decrypter: Run Decrypter, select 'mode --- iso --- read' to copy to harddisk, and 'mode --- iso --- write' to copy from harddisk to dvd. Happy dvd copying!
