When I put the Sin City movie in, and after it copies it, I then get an error message that does not allow me to copy it to a disk. Please help.
post dvd x copy in dvd x copy fourm at the bottom of the page BUT dvd x xcopy wont do the movie BECAUSE its an WAY outdated program with the newer encryption on the newer movies you will need better and more up to date programs to do the movie try CloneDVD with anydvd. IT WILL DO THE MOVIE. heres the link http://www.slysoft.com/en/ and a gudie to use them http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html or you can run anydvd in the background with dvd shrink the trick is using anydvd it may work with x copy but i doubt it your better off dumping x copy and moving on to better programs that are up to date
@ddpetrie as aabbccdd said use all those programs but dont forget to use DVD Decrypter first if u need ahand use the guide in my post it will take u through the process step by step
The disk may be scratched. I doubt if the encryption has changed since Xcopy was made since the DVD readers couldn't read them. There are versions of the normal encryption which are problematic for rippers. The newer movies usually use those. The newer rippers are better with the problems. Brand new spotless DVDs normally copy OK no matter what type of encryption they use.
@mez, Trust me, encryption has changed a lot since the xcopy platinum days. It was the newer encryption systems that led me to AD. If you don't believe me try backing up a brand new spotless copy of Hitch using xcopy. You can save yourself a ton of money and headaches just using the program DvdDecrypter. It's free and works flawlessly even with the new copy protections. I spent 40$ for AnyDvd and use DvdShrink(free) and DvdDecrypter. Combined with Taiyo Yuden media I get better results in less time for one quarter of the cost. As far as Sin City goes, AnyDvd and DvdShrink worked flawlessly on it. Ditch the xcopy and check into some of the freeware stuff like decrypter and shrink. You won't be sorry!
