I recently purchased a this dvd recorder and made a copy of some NASCAR races. They work fine when playing them but when I want to make a copy of it, it won't let me. In Shrink I get a navigation error. In Nero, it says its too big to fit on another dual-layer disc and in Decrypter, it errors out at the VTS_04 VOB file. If I try directly copying the VOB files I get a MS-DOS error at the VTS_04 file. Does my recordings have some sort of copy protection on them? If so, is there a way to get rid of it?

I have searched several hours for postings on this matter. Sorry if you have already covered this.

I often rip my philips DVD recordings to my PC but shrink does'nt like them.
I have had success with TMPGEnc DVD author (by Pegasus) though and even in that it sees two titles of the same size when there is only one but you can tick box which one you want to re-author and the other gets ditched in the process. You can also add your own menu then aswell but its not a free program. (there is a free 30 day trial available)
