I have come across a few cd's lately that I have not been able to put on my cpu. When I rip the cd onto my cpu it plays all messed up. It will play as if someone is spinning a record really fast. or as if the musician is speaking in tounges. When I burn the file onto a blank cd it will keep the audio sounding like that. I have anydvd and clonecd and I thought that should take care of any copyright protection but it don't take care of this problem. I am unable to put these certain cd's on my ipod either b/c it will play like that on my ipod as well. anytime I take the audio files off the cd to put on my cpu or ipod or any other device it will sound like that. I usually rip with winamp. But it don't matter what program I use I get the same result. Please help.
I would try using a program called Exact Audio Copy to rip the disc. And use the LAME MP3 encoder to make the mp3's. This software always makes 100% accurate rips I cant really explain how but others can. Heres a setup for Exact Audio Copy... Step 1: Download and install Exact Audio Copy( http://www.exactaudiocopy.org/eac6.html ) Follow the setup wizard that opens the first time you start Exact Audio Copy. Step 2: Download the best MP3 encoder on the planet, LAME 3.90.3 by Dibrom MP3 Encoder ( http://www.ubernet.org/lame.exe ). Save this lame.exe file to your EAC directory (Usually C:\Program Files\Exact Audio Copy\). Step 3: For those of you creating MP3s, you will now need to go to EAC -> Compression Options -> External Compression tab. Click on the 'browse' button and point to the lame.exe file that you downloaded. Click OK. If you're hooked up to the Internet, hit ALT-G to use the freedb to name all the tracks on your cd for you. Step 4: Now go to AC -> Compression Options -> External Compression tab and next to the "additional command line options" window paste this (-V 2 --vbr-new --add-id3v2 --pad-id3v2 --ta "%a" --tt "%t" --tl "%g" --ty "%y" --tn "%n" %s %d) [do not copy and paste the parenthesis] and hit ok. Step 5: In the main Exact Audio Copy window with your cd in the drive highlight all the songs. Now hit the button on the left with the lettes "Mp3 next to it and select a save folder. Leave and come back in half an hour and youll have perfect MP3's. *Note i know this guide was "choppy" and not that good but if you need it to be more indepth just let me know and give me sometime to put a decent guide together.
