just started out in the world of copying dvds.Have a E55 dvd recorder as my player but when i try to play dvd-r i get a unsupported message.Panasonic says it means the files have a copywrite in them.Is it as simple as downloading a file then burning onto a disc then playing or more advanced.Have been using nero 6.

Am not sure what you are trying to do, if you are trying to back up movies you will need two free programs DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter there are guides available in my sig by Scuba Pete and bbmayo these have step by step instructions, also read the newbie thread listed it give more info. You need a DVD burner for your PC, do you have one?
