Cork MMDS aerial.

Looking for some pointers on setting up an mmds aerial in the cork area, surely some-one has done this already

Do you have a field strength meter ?

 

Hi, dont have a field strenght meter, not even sure whats that for.

I suppose first question really is which type of aerial should I get ?
A lot of houses around me have those wire-mesh ones. Are all mmds aerials the same ?

Jimme, thanks.. I've just gone back and re-read that again but more "carefully" this time. I now have the answers I need on aerial's and evern understand a lot more about mhz's and freq's required and what even a yagi aerial is

I see a lot of mention about people putting these in their attic, but surely this is going to effect the signal something fierce, so I suppose its a try it and see job.
