Correct disc for burning games?

Hi am paul from the UK i have just had my x box flashed, didnt do it myself took it to a computer fair.

i have came home and stelth patch the game i have and then burned it with img burn at 2.4. but then when i out the disc into my x box it wont play, i get the picture coming up e.g "Play Terminator Salvtion" with the Terminator picture, so its like something is going right, then after i click play, it says the disc cannot be read, wipe it with a goth.

Is this because i am using cheap discs? they are AonePlus DVD+R DL.
Should i go and get some Verbatim disc today and try them??

I have a DVD re writer so i dont think it is that?
