Correect dvd media for a ROTEL dvd player

    I've been using Ritek Ridata dvd+r for my Harmon Kardon dvd-101 since day 1. Actually this machine will accept both Ritek dvd+r and dvd-r. I also have a Rotel brand dvd player. This machine will absolutely not accept the Ritek dvd+r and the DVD-r is borderline. Has anybody in this group have a Rotel and if so which blank dvd media are you using with it. Thanks
