Hi everyone, Hope someone can help me. I've been having a lot of problems with my xbox crashing on me. At first I thought it was maybe the backups I was making werent of good quality but now I think it is more a case that the hard drive in my xbox is corrupt. The reason I think this is my NFS2 save file has become corrupt and other games have froze/crashed on me when trying to save them. If you agree this is the problem what model of drive should I get to replace it and what do I have to do? Any help is much appreciated.
Im gonna have to agree with you. I had a HDD die on me. Symptoms where, Crashed, games wouldnt boot, would crash while trying to save, Live content would be corrupted, and then finally evox took 2min to load and it would scroll about i line a minute. I guess first you should give it a format and reinstall and see what happens.
ok, step 1- download "Slayers auto installer FINAL" Burn it to dvd, as a xISO. Backup all your current saves to your computer.(TData-UData) Backup anything else you want to keep. Use slayers to format and re-install everthing. Done. If after time your HDD starts to misbehave again, just get a new one. Western digital and Maxtor is what i would recomend as brands. What kind of mod do you have? (i should have asked this first)
