I am unable to read from my DVD drives.
When I check the control panel hardware update It says the drivers are corrupte message error code 39.
The DVD drive are a sony DVD-RW DW-U18A and a Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-120S. ( at leat that is what the panel description is)
I have tried the windows XP repair but the error message say my hard drive is not there. (Yes my hard drive is there and working)
I emailed the people who sold me the computer and they told me in rsponse that the drivers are on the window xp disk.
Sony and pioneer have told me that they do not support these drive numbers.
Since the drive worked almost a year and seem to be workin in the start up before windows I do not think this is a hardware problem.
Which way should I go from here?
