So last week my ipod was perfectly fine... It was dyeing, but fine. I haven't plugged it in for a few days nor touched it, and I went to go turn it on the other day and it was completely screwed. It wouldn't turn on... and the screen would blink every 5 seconds with the apple icon. I tried to restore it and itunes said it was currupted and could not... something about a 1418 error. I JUST bought this damn thing, and I'm kinda pissed it's already broken -_- Help? =/

if you just bought it, than bring it in to the Apple Store and they will help you fix it, since it has a 1 year warranty on it.

Yea if you just Got it, bring it back to Apple, but you can try restoring it again before you take it back, first make sure you have the lates itunes, 7.7.1 then hold the center and menu button on the ipod when you see the apple logo, then press and hold the play and center button, until you see a check on the screen, your ipod is now on recovery mode, make sure itunes is running and connect the ipod, and see if it can be restore. if not well off to the apple store my friend.
