Corrupted Word Documents...

Hi guys, I recently made an error while installing Ubuntu and was forced to format my windows partion (long story short). I used Nucleus Kernel for FAT+NTFS and recovered most of my files, but most of the word (2003 - 2007) documents are corrupted.

I'm not sure if corrupt is the right word I should be using, so i'll give u an example of what one of my files looks like:

¸@� “�¿ ?ª^µ£=¨ô±½ú¹ {~ëÄx4,#¦Ôú ÛÝþØ” %C¹ 4¹Gq8àC‰šï

That's what I see when I open it. Is there a way for me to recover the original information in the file?

And another thing, teh same ahppens with my jpeg files. I get the message "No preview available" when trying to view some of them. I kinda need a solution for that as well.
