For some reason, my Sony DW-Q28A has recently quit burning DVD's. I have tried many solutions and wasted many DVD-Rs, and it still does not work. I have cleaned out Roxio, reinstalled Nero, and used multiple programs like CloneCD and DVD Decrypter. I am using Memorex 16x DVD-Rs that used to work with this burner. The same ISO I am burning works on another computer to burn with the same DVDs. When I look at the DVD after burning, only 1/3 of the way out was written to. Nero seemed to burn normally, but the lead out was VERY slow and only went about 1% every 15 seconds. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Here is the log file:
Try updating Nero to 7.5.7.0 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/ only other thing I can see is These are horrible discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) also this Burning too fast, slow to 4X
you are burning very close to the outer edge for those RITEK disks! I know I have burned to the edge at that # (4464MB) with my Taiyo Yuden disks with no problem at all... but an inferior disk might have a problem with it. And maybe that's why you got these errors:
