    Hey all. I'm trying to burn onto yellow datawrites 16x and keep getting the Could not perform end of disc-at-once error msg. i try at 8x and 16x with the same result. i use nero 7 on xp sp2. heres the report.

    Your firmware version (MYS2) is actually a couple versions behind. You should upgrade your firmware.

    I wasn't sure how good those datawrites were but this confirms they are not that great. "CMC Mags" have to be the worst type of disc you can use. Additionally, I heard a lot of people say their particular burner had problems with Datawrites and they were not recognized.

    Also, I just realized you did mention you were burning at 16x. Try to slow down your burn speed to 4x and see what happens. Even if the manufacturer says a disc is 16X or 8X write compatible, I always burn at 4x.

    Still, I would say your problem is the poor quality of those blank discs. Try to get some Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens made in Japan.
