Hey all. Your firmware version (MYS2) is actually a couple versions behind. You should upgrade your firmware. I wasn't sure how good those datawrites were but this confirms they are not that great. "CMC Mags" have to be the worst type of disc you can use. Additionally, I heard a lot of people say their particular burner had problems with Datawrites and they were not recognized. Also, I just realized you did mention you were burning at 16x. Try to slow down your burn speed to 4x and see what happens. Even if the manufacturer says a disc is 16X or 8X write compatible, I always burn at 4x. Still, I would say your problem is the poor quality of those blank discs. Try to get some Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens made in Japan. Let us know if this helps at all.
