Hi, Update your firmware here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2017 to the latest, 1.58 This media isn't very good. Use better media such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Make sure you are burning at 4x and not multitasking during your burns.
This is an extremely old version of Nero, try here for an update...both packages....you may be lucky. http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe I have NEVER heard of this media before, although it's recognized by your burner it would be a good idea to follow Ripper's advice and try better quality. I have the same burner as you and also recommend firmware update as they are a bit "picky"
How do I install the firmware update, the file Ripper linked me to extracts 3 files to a directory and then the command prompt returns the error 'Available target is not found'. If you could link me to an explanation if one already exist that would be much apreciated, and thanks for the help already.
In C:\DVR109\FW158EU it extracts R9100009.158, R9100109.158 and UPGR109.EXE, and after install it runs UPGR109.EXE.
You would run the .exe. If it's coming up target device not found then may not be the right one. Is this a Medion PC? If it is than you would use the 1.57 next to Medion OEM on the same page Ripper linked to.
hmmm you can try the one from Pioneer's site - 1.57. You'll need to look for your drive under archived products then input an email addy: http://www.pioneer.com.au/products/computer_peripherals/index.html
