could not use printer over networking

i have installed linux mint on my mums main pc. I find that linux could just get the address of a printer and use it without the driver installation cd. i can print and stuff with her HP psc 1210.

i got windows 7 on my pc and i can find the printer by using router, but when i try to install or use, it came up a box saying the driver can not be found oer the network and come up with a list of drivers. i also have tried the cd it only for windows 9/xp.
