domreis no offense, but how does an intern know about management info? especially something that has not been brought out to the press...surely they would have been all over this, or at least the gaming magazines(just curious)
just skimming through and noticed that. are you referring to logik666's siggy pic, ewokjedi? if so (and i'm guessing i'm wrong), no, that's not an alien. that's an image of the ancient Egyption (jackal) god, Anubis. *edit* slightly OT, but it just occurred to me that the ancient Egyptians were heavily into anthropomorphics. no wonder i like them so much...they were all furries!
domreis like i said man i didn't mean any offense..i was just asking.... auslander....how did you change this to the "are you a fur" thread? lol
no idea...it just kinda occurred to me, and on AD it's generally accepted to type what occurs to us..besides, this thread seems basically deadn, anyway. competition has been debated and shown to be a good thing.
yep we proved the competition thoughts quite well Auslander. now this thread is random gibberish unsubsrcibed...
That woulntd be awesome, i hate sony, dont count on it. and if they bought it i bet sony will sell the revolution with the name Playstation X2. then add a hard drive then call it Playstation XXX
Nintendo is making too much money to be bought out buy sony... especially considering Nintendo has a good reputatin with adults (eg adults who buy games for their small children, not adult gamers). As for the price of games, it has to do with how much money it cost to make them. Games are costing millions of dollars to make these days, so the price needs to stay high to justify investing a couple million on a title. I would gladly play 60$ if online play is included for free. I get mad when I buy a exensive game and compete in in like ten hours. Maybe one day we will have a home system that will charge you to play games by the hour.. like arcades. I think I would like that less.. considering how much time I've put into socom 2, for 50$
Nintendo as a company dates back to the 40's as a major playing cards buisness and the 80s was a very profitable time for them also (in worldwide terms they out sold sega 6 to 1) although they will always be thought of as segas compertision bank balance wise there in a similar league to sony and microsoft
If sony bought everything i bet playstation 4 would be nothing more than an atari with a fax machine on it. Competition makes everything better, who wants a one horse race. I love afterdawn, keep up the posts guys, its amusing & im learning somethin new everyday
well said, to be hionets though i have been dissapointed with nintendo since the N64 and i see my self only bying the revolutoin for a few good games like i did the cube. it would be great if nintendo were to become just a game company then they could spend there time in making the games coz thats what they do best. Zelda, mario, star fox etc is the only reason id buy the cosnole. though if its only going to be something like £90, i mite look into it, but i totally agree they have lost the grips with the console war now, i mean there new console is going to be no where near as powerfull as the 360 or ps3 which is a shame!!!!!!!!! Niinetdo should work with comanies like sqaure and help them devlop the next final fantasy so it goes in a new direction or somthing, even though there hasnet been much good come out of Sega since there split so it mite not be that good if an idea.
Kulacool: your partialy right but the fact that game prices have been increased has to do with a world wide experiment conducted by game companies involving all of us. If you recall recently there have been many special edition games released such as Halo 2 which costs 49.99 and Halo 2 special edition which cost 54.99. The reason why game companies started releasing special edition games for a higher price than the regular was to see if people are willing to buy games for more money and obviously many of them were sold. After the success of selling games at a higher price game companies decided to milk it for everything its worth by selling games now at 59.99. So anyone who bought a special edition game actually participated in the experiment. Plus I kind of like nintendo so I wouldnt want to see it get bought out by sony although I know Bill Gates is rich enough to buy nintendo so he can continue his plot for world domination. Peace out!
T4 your right about that.. I had always wondered why they released the special editions of games. Of course that doesn't explain games like ESPN NFL 2k5, or Katamari Damacy which release for 20$, and sell very well due to the lower price. ESPN sold so well, that competitor madden dropped 10$ in price that year, and EA decided to buy exclusive rights to the NFL license for the next 5 years! This tells me that competetion is a good thing for gamers, and even if Microsoft could buy nintendo it might not be the best thing..
^^ this is about xbox but it fits in to what the past 2 post say. http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=341864
it would be extrmely awsome, think about it...playing mario games or zelda games on a ps3...imagin the graphics....imagin...mmmmm
