ok everytime i play counter strike on like eg de_dust or cs_compound i can play alrite for about 10 minutes then my fps drops from about 28 to about 15 and the game freezes and i have to turn off my computer manually by holding the power button. my computer specs are Intel Pentium 4 , 3.2GHz, 1024 mb of ram , Windows xp , Sp2 , ATI radeon x300/x500 series if yous need to know anything else please dont hesitate t0 ask
we talking about CSS or CS1.6? set everything to medium graphics and see what happens? i had a problem similar with CS1.6...uninstalled it though steam then reinstalled it and it worked fine...have you ever had it working fine before?
1.6 runs excellent except when someone throws a smoke grenade graphic lags abit and but im talking about source and i havnt tried uninstalling through steam if i do that do i have to update again coz that takes agessssss and ive already tried putting my graphics to medium i think it does the same thing again and plus the graphics looks crap. my computer is good enough to run at high though ... isnt i ?
