Can anyone help coz trying to do this is driving me insane. I have tried every type of software going to try and convert my divx movies to dvd. But I can't get them to play on my stand alone player. What am I doing wrong?
Have you used DivxtoDVD? http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm
Try vso its a free download from the net and ive had no problems with it, then use shrink, dvd decrypter to copy to dvd media, they are also free.
Do you need help? Read this first (from this forum) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183136 See number 3 - check your stand alone dvd player against the list in that link to make sure it's not the player! Make sure it will read the media type you are using too. Also see the section on bitsetting. Good luck
Hello, Sorry i mistunderstood the question duh. yes u will have to check your stand alone dvd player, it may not play copied dvds. Wot i have noticed is that the expensive dvd players dont normally play dvd-r or dvd+r or dvdrw's unless its an orginal movie. The cheaper ones seen to be able to play alot more. I can even play copied movies on my xbox (which isint modded) but not the playstation2. So ya as LivnDGirl said check ur stand alone player. regards sulphate
My standalone dvd player does play dvd copies. So I'm almost sure it's not the dvd player. Tried VSO to copy but it only copied the video but had no sound whatsoever. It seemed to create Video Ts folder but no audio Ts folder. PLEASE HELP!
Thats correct there shouldn´t be any files in Audio_TS just burn it and see... VSO is ok but not good...encoding in 2-3 hours doesn´t make great quality...and cant burn suprips into it...
You haven't provided much detailed info....logs, programs used etc. Check your standalone dvd players list of SUPPORTED media...not just whether it will play dvd that have been burned. What I mean is some dvd players will support dvd+r media, some will not, etc. Also, suspect the brand of media you are using, for instance, verbatim = good, some others probably not. Check your burners manual for settings.
Hi there, DivXtoDVD provides pretty good quality. (For my needs) If I was a quality freak, I'd just go and buy the damn DVD
I have just tried TMPGenc as it suggested in the guides within this site but still no joy!! It created an m2v file which when played back had no blinkin sound!! What am I doing wrong. Can it be so hard just to convert a divx file to watch on a dvd player. I have checked both my standalone players and there is no fault with them. The first movie I downloaded worked perfect and it was just created with the Phiilips Power to Go software already installed on my computer but alas will not work again with any other downloads! Has anyone had these problems before as well. If so how did they sort it and what software do you use now?
i have used divxtodvd and converted the file now i need to burn it to a disc i havd decrypter but i dont know how to do it help pls.
I have just tried Divx to dvd. It has created the video TS file but still no sound off the conversion and this was it played on the PC. There is audio on the original file. Am I missing and additional step after converting in Divx?
sounds to me you have no audio codecs go for the full pack [bold]Download [ K-Lite Codec Pack 2.47 FULL [/bold] from here, then try it http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm
Finally got my files converted to dvd using dvd santa!! However I have a movie that came in 2 parts and when I burned it to dvd it got them mixed up. Now the second part plays before the first. How do I get dvd danta to play the 2 files in order?
never used this app',heard bad things about the quality, but you may have loaded the 2 files in the wrong order by mistake
