   For a htpc primarily used for movie,music playback do you guys think the stock heat sink for an amd 64x2 will be enough. Or should i still get a cpu cooler?
   
   Would it help w/ noice reduction?

   You should buy a fan, maybe nexus cos they are silent.. This increases processors lifetime.
