So i was cleaning my comp today, opened it up after like 3 years since i got it when i was younger and knew nothing about comps, and i realize 2 things...

    1. cpu fan is pointed inwards into the cpu (blow air into cpu)
    2. there is no case fan (i.e. cpu fan is the only air moving device in the entire computer, except maybe PSU)

So my question is, for my situation, which way should my cpu fan be directing air to? into cpu or out of cpu? either way heat is stuck inside the comp, but i tend to leave the case half open now cause it overheats so much now

the processor fan should blow into the heat sink of your CPU

some computers use the PSU to exhaust the heat fromm the case

that keeps the cost and noise down

if yours is overheating it would kick out into shutdown

buy yourself a cheap fan and install it if you want

get a can of air, take your computer outside, blow your dust out of the computer

focus on blowing the dust out of the heat sink and the PSU

DO NOT direct the air too long on any circuit boards because that will cause serious contraction that may cause a break

    good luck
