I see that everything is spinning but I have no idea how to take the temp of the cpu It doesnt seem that hot at all. obviosly it must be a heat problem because I can not have it on the whole day without it freezing unless I put it in sleep mode. the fans are working. I dont understand. Yeah I just doubled checked the fans and all are working. There are 2 in the computer and one in the power supply and they are working.

I dont know what you mean when you say "is the cpu heatsink flat onto the cpu & in the right way if amd ". The fans are not on the mother board that I can tell you. IF you can explain that in lamen terms I will tell you . Thanks for all your help.

which hp pavillion do you have so can check product info at hp site as there is a possible problem if no heatsink & fan on cpu

this problem is one of two things:
    1. your PC has viruses
    2. The fan on the CPU stops running

these should be the only two problems that should cause this 9 out of 10 times....
