Hey guys, Sorry if ive put this in the wrong spot but im at a loss at to why my CPU is getting smacked hard by somethig called "cscript.exe"... In the Task Manager (Performance tab) my CPU Usage is most of the time running at 100% and PF Usage is about 339mb! In Processes everything else seem to be doing AOK except for cscript.exe! I have a P4, 1.50GHz, 768 RAM & running Windows XP... Ive tried searching the web first but just get lost in the commotion! Can anyone give any suggestions as to whats going on??? Thanks.
It almost looks like your system is being exploited by some virus. But that is a amature analisyst of this. I would wait for someone with some experence to actually belive it. Have you run to run any sys scans? Adaware, norton, mcAfee, anythig to try and rid yourself of this prob? I do not see cscript.exe in my task manager. What major programs do you have installed? Have you tried searching your computer for cscript.exe? Did you come up with a find?
I just searched my computer for this cscript.exe, Have you tried a fresh XP install? That would fix any problems. If this is not an option please post.
