CPU sometimes reads Drive....

    Hello, I have a couple of problems with my CPU & burner. 1) when I try to backup a movie it stops half way through the upload. 2) the CPU sometimes reads the drive (eg. if I restart syatem, it does not read the burner...If I shut down and start it does)....Can someone please help and explain??? I have a few home movies I need to make copies of for famiy and I can't.

    Is this an internal or external burner?

    Could you please specify your system specs, harddrive, burner brand and model, memory, and what software you are using?
